      Janet is Director of SVC2UK for the annual summit in 2015 and leads the programme out of London & Partners together with the commercial partners, students, and advisers. She is also developing a new strategy to offer a step change in the way London’s high growth companies can do business in overseas markets, a programme for the Mayor of London. Janet’s is co-Chair of the Tech London Advocates Scale up Working Group that is also supporting high growth companies to scale up. She is non-exec Director at Rocketseed, an email media company. She was previously a Diplomat for the UK Government, serving in a number of posts including San Francisco. She also led the Mayor of London’s Business Programme during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

            Nicholas Heller is a Trustee at SVC2UK and CEO, Chairman and Co-Founder Fractal Labs, a finance focused technology company on a mission to use data to unlock economic growth, Previously, he was heading the international New Business Development group at Google, leading teams working on new product incubation and exploratory efforts in technology. His career spans 20 years with extensive experience in technology, media and finance, as a serial entrepreneur, board director, advisor and part-time investor.

                Evie is the Project Manager of SVC2UK. After graduating from the University of East Anglia where she read International Development, she joined SVC2UK and the Go to Grow programme where she oversees projects and international visits. She has had much experience traveling abroad, working in disaster hit areas in the Visayas, and working on disaster relief missions. Her interests lie in Trade and Development and the growing trade links to and from the UK.

                Karen Sandhu is an Inward Investment Manager at London & Partners, the official promotional organisation for London. We promote London and attract businesses, events, congresses, students and visitors to the capital .Karen currently helps North American businesses, predominantly from the West Coast expand and set up in London. Previous to London & Partners, Karen’s role focused on recruitment working onsite and developing and managing client relationship with Vodafone, Standard Chartered Bank and JP Morgan.

                Mia Iwama Hastings

                Originally from Silicon Valley, Mia Iwama Hastings is a marketing and communications specialist with expertise in technology, financial, B2B and education marketing and brand strategy, corporate communications and business development. She leads on inward investment and tech marketing for London & Partners, the Mayor of London’s official promotional agency. Mia previously led the central marketing and brand strategy for the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association, the industry body for private equity and venture capital in the UK. She has a BA in Classics Magna Cum Laude from Brown University and an MA in English from University College London.

                Jack is a life sciences strategy consultant with experience combining consulting, startups and scientific research. He has worked for leading strategy consultancies in the life sciences space, where his focus has been on pricing and market access of new medicines for European and US markets. He has a keen interest in entrepreneurship and digital health, previously being an organizer for the London chapter of Health 2.0, where he carried out partnerships with the industry, startups and investors. Jack is the lead for the SVC2UK Masterclasses event, where Silicon Valley experts will be discussing topics taking over the world of technology, and the Health Tech Masterclass, which will explore how technology will change healthcare in the next decade. Jack holds a MMSc in Bioentrepreneurship from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, and a BSc in Pharmacology from the University of Edinburgh.

                    Emma is the Events & Exhibitions Manager for London & Partners, the official promotional agency for London. She is an event and project management specialist, with over a decade of experience spanning five continents leading on a range of projects, from conferences and exhibitions to sponsorship programmes. At London & Partners, she has worked on a number of projects including London Tech Week and the SVC2UK15 programme. Prior to London & Partners, she held management roles in major events including London 2012, Shanghai World Expo 2010 and COP18. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Macquarie University in Sydney.

She has worked on a range of high-profile business projects including London Tech Week, India Emerging 20 and Mayoral Missions. Prior to London & Partners, she ran a digital agency, consulting for startups and SMEs. As the daughter of a brilliant serial tech entrepreneur she is inspired by SVC2UK as a growth platform for entrepreneurs and scale ups.

                                Jessie Du is a fourth year student majoring in Business Analytics with an emphasis in Data Science and a concentration in Marketing at College of William & Mary in Virginia, USA. She is currently studying abroad for one semester at University of Westminster in London, UK. Jessie is highly interested in utilizing data analytics to make successful business decisions. She is particularly passionate about retail, international business development, and customer-facing technology.

Through her degree course and work placements, Jessica has founded a strong interest in sustainability, technology and corporate responsibility, and she is focused on using new digital technologies to help sustainably transform companies to become competitive through socio-economic, political and environmental means.
